-1 Move with the Wind: (Disciple) Knighten uses the natural currents of air to enhance his movements and “feel” the movements of his opponents. Knighten uses Discipline when rolling the trappings for Close-Combat Defense
-1 Eye on the Enemy: (Empathy) Once per encounter, Knighten is able to size up his opponent and hit him RIGHT WHERE IT COUNTS! Knighten can get a sense of someone quickly when trying to “read” them. His first attempt to read someone BEFORE combat takes less than a minute of interaction, instead of the usual ten. Any subsequent efforts with the same person do not enjoy this benefit. He then gets a supplemental attack action at no penalty.

Bio:

Born to a well-to-do family, Knighten is the only child of Thomas and Bridgette Foraine. His father earned his wealth in the car industry. Knighten graduated valedictorian of his high school and went on to college back East. He studied Journalism at a well known Ivy-league University, the same college his father attended. While in college, Knighten was head of the boxing club. He also excelled in track and field. Knighten also captained the regatta club. He tried to live up to all of his father’s expectations, but felt like he always fell short.

After his graduation ceremony from the University, Knighten got in a fight with his father. He stormed off as it began to rain. While walking around to cool his head, to his surprise he saw a flickering light emitting from underneath a newspaper littering the ground. He lifted it up to find a Faerie that appeared to be dying. From in his soul, he could hear her calling out to him for help. Has he touched her to pick her up, her name suddenly came to his mind. “You are Celena Glistine Mahagan?” The fading faerie gave a small grin, then went limp. Knighten tucked her under his over coat to shelter her from the elements of the storm picking up; and also to keep her hidden from prying eyes. This was incredible. He always had an inclination that beings like this existed, but his science mind always sort of doubted it. He took her back to his flat and nourished her back to life. He began to call her “CG”. Her appearance led him to begin questioning the truth of the secrets to the supernatural world. “CG” is eternally in his debt. Through empathic feelings she has confirmed a lot of his questions. But she has been unable to tell him the full reason why she was left to die in the gutter where she was found, which is one of Knighten’s greatest questions.

These questions led Knighten to discover, quite by happen stance, an ancient looking book on the art of Parcaemancy. Being bolstered with faith and conviction from the advent of CG, Knighten tried creating some of the magic written of in the book. Incredibly he found that he had a knack for the lost art. He does not know much at the moment, but is motivated to learn more. CG also teaches him in a way and gives him encouragement. She definitely knows more about him than she reveals…but what is it?

Knighten currently works for the less reputable newspaper, The Ripley’s Register to the chagrin of his father (who would rather see him working for the Tribune). CG does not say much. She seems very shy at times. For the longest time, Knighten believed that she could not speak at all. Despite her lack of communication, Knighten has found that he can still feel her emotions. It is as if he is able to communicate with her via an uncanny empathic connection. Knighten has found that CG sometimes gets overwhelmed in emotional situations. Even though Knighten can usually calm her down, she still reverts to becoming mute for a period of time and can only communicate via body language and pantomiming. Knighten feels that CG is keeping something very important secret from him. Her mysterious past is too tantalizing to not investigate. He has not gained much knowledge yet. But he feels that in finding her true past it is part of his destiny. Only time will reveal if his hunch is right.
